Digital health company, Visiba, strengthen their position in the Swedish market by closing a financing round of a total of SEK 100 million. After an intensive spring, where the company mobilised significantly in supporting existing and new customers to implement online consultations quickly, the financial addition will now be used to continue the development of the platform and Red Robin, the company’s newly launched AI-based automated triage and medical history tool. The goal is to continue to provide a market-leading product that simplifies online consultations for healthcare players and reap the benefits of digital transformation.
Visiba has completed a financing round of a total of SEK 100 million. The round was led by CNI and Swedbank Robur. Participants in the round also included Starbright Invest and existing owners such as Blue and JCE Ventures. The capital injection is the largest in the company’s history. It will be used, among other things, to strengthen the platform's product development for online consultations and Red Robin, as well as to enable increased commercial investment in Europe and the Nordics.
Swedish healthcare has taken great leaps in digital transformation during the COVID-19 pandemic, which has increased the understanding of how digital patient flows can solidify care. Our market is fast-moving, and Visiba Care needs to be at the forefront and shape the solutions that enable tomorrow’s healthcare. The capital injection will support the work of optimising and developing our products, which in turn will create even better conditions for our customers to succeed,
says Johan Gustafsson, CEO at Visiba.
Visiba Care is a very exciting company with a strong position in the domestic market, a leading product offering and an ambitious expansion plan. This is exactly the type of growth journey we want to support and engage with as investors,
says Erik Ejerhed, partner at CNI.
We think the digital healthcare market is incredibly exciting and critical from a societal perspective. Visiba Care has made an impressive journey so far. We see great potential going forward and wanted to be involved and support the company,
says Henrik Carlman, funding manager at Swedbank Robur.
Visiba’s virtual care platform is used today by more than half of Sweden’s regions, as well as by several private healthcare providers. Since 2018 the platform includes Red Robin, a powerful AI triage tool. As a result of the capital injection, Visiba Care will double its product development team to intensify the development of the company’s products and services.
